The one thing I did notice when consuming this protein powder, is the immediate bloating I felt after consuming it after my workout, followed by a bit of gassiness. Many whey protein powders leave you with these side effects since they’re a diary, but this signature line left me with a little heavier side effects. It may be because of the milk, but it when soon away after I stopped thinking about it.
This uncomfortable feeling after digestion is due to the lactose in whey protein. Over 65% of the world experience lactose intolerance, a digestive disorder not allowing the full absorption of lactose. This results in side effects like bloating, gassiness, and upset stomach due to the lactose fermenting.
Some people are plagued harder than others with lactose intolerance. For me, it’s not too bad. Just subtle symptoms after consuming dairy, but it’s not anything I can’t handle.

There’s a reason why I’ve been going almost one-year strong drinking this protein powder. It’s amazing! I usually take this whey after my workouts with one scoop in about a 10oz of whole milk. I’ve tried using water instead of milk, and it’s still drinkable, but it’s nowhere near as good as the shake with milk.
